Some exciting news: I'm a Certified Webflow Partner!

I've been designing websites with Webflow since 2019, and I'm excited to be a part of the Partner program. Becoming a Webflow partner helps further establish my expertise with Webflow and supporting design clients in Webflow. I've been working with web design clients for about 8 years, and for me, being recognized as a Certified Webflow Partner is one of my recent highlights.

In this post, I break down what a Certified Webflow Partner means and why it's an important distinction.

What is a Certified Webflow Partner?

Webflow Partners are vetted by the Webflow team for their proven expertise in Webflow as well as a successful history building sites for clients.

In order to become a Certified Webflow Partner, you need to apply and be vetted to join. This includes the following:

  • Submit three original client sites that are graded on a variety of factors, such as design, development best practices, SEO, responsiveness, accessibility, and more.
  • Pass all 4 of Webflow's certification exams with a score of 88% or higher (you only get 2 tries per exam)
  • Have an active Freelancer or Agency Workspace account in Webflow
  • Submit an application to the Webflow team for review and be approved

Becoming a Certified Webflow Partner showcases one's expertise with Webflow and working with design clients.

How Hard Is to Get into the Webflow Certified Partner Program?

Being accepted into the Webflow Certified Partner program is no small feat. Unlike similar programs, Webflow takes the time to vet Certified Partner applications to make sure that those who are approved have the knowledge and expertise to successfully support clients with Webflow projects.

One of the things I appreciate about this program is that they take multiple factors into account when reviewing potential partner applications, and it's not easy to get into. Webflow cares about applicants' design experience (for starters, they'll reject you if you submit fake client sites or websites made with a template). This means your website samples included in your application need to be original work, designed and developed by you with Webflow best practices in mind.

Aside from design experience, client experience and Webflow knowledge is also taken into consideration in your application. This well-rounded, heavily vetted approach is is something I haven't seen in similar programs. Being accepted into this program is a big deal for designers and developers who are serious about their long-term partnership with Webflow.
